“We are preparing solutions that will protect Poles against raising electricity prices,” said Motyk.

He emphasized that the ruling coalition is preparing its own project for freezing electricity prices for households in the last quarter of the year.

“We will be ready with our own project (…), we will prepare a project that we are counting – will meet with the president's signature, but it will be our project (…) at such a date that Poles do not feel increases” – he added.

On Thursday, President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the amendment to the Act on investments in the field of wind farms and some other acts. The main purpose of the Act is the liberalization of existing provisions on investments in windmills on land. The amendment introduces 500 m as a minimum allowable distance between new wind turbines and residential buildings. Currently, it is 700 m. The Act also contains regulations regarding the freezing of electricity prices in the last quarter of this year.

Also on Thursday, the minister of climate and environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska announced that the ministry of climate and the environment wants to direct the so-called windmill, but slightly modified. (PAP Biznes)
