The Iran parliament adopted a law suspending cooperation with the International Energa Atomic Agency (Maea) – Iranian media, cited by the Reuters agency, reported. The decision must be approved by two more state institutions depending on Ayatollah Ali Chamenei.

The first institution is the Council of the Guardians of the Constitution, in which half of the members are approved by Chamenei, the highest spiritual and political leader of Iran, and who is responsible for verifying legal acts in terms of compliance with Islam and the constitution. The second is the Supreme National Security Council, headed by Chamenei.
Earlier, the Iranian parliament approved the closing of the Strait of Ormuz, a key for the export of oil from the Middle East to world markets. Shipping has not yet been blocked because Chamenei has not issued a final decision on this matter.
On the night of June 12-13, Israel began attacks on Iran, declaring that they were aimed at atomic and military goals in this country. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Tehran is one step away from obtaining a nuclear bomb.
The Iranian side argues that its nuclear program only serves civil purposes and has only peaceful character, but at the same time enriches uranium to a level that repeatedly exceeds the needs of civil applications.
On June 12, the Council of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (Maea) demanded explanations from the Iran authorities regarding the traces of uranium found in places that the country did not report as nuclear objects. Maea estimated that the amount of uranium was enriched in Iran to build nine nuclear charges.
On the night of Saturday to Sunday, the US bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities. On Tuesday, the US suspension announced by the US began to apply between Israel and Iran. (PAP)
