Sales of used cars in Poland 2025. The latest trends and problems


In July 2025, the Polish used car market was a decrease in sales compared to the same period last year. 259 thousand sold 234 Vehicles, which means a decrease by almost 3.5 thousand. Arts against July 2024 – reports the portal of Strefabiznesu.pl.
Along with a smaller number of transactions, the average price of the car has also decreased. “July brought relative stabilization, but also signals testifying to the growing caution of consumers,” notes Karolína Topolová, general director of Aures Holdings, AAA Auto sales network operator.
The average price of a used car in July 2025 was PLN 46,864which means a decrease by PLN 3,887 compared to PLN 50,751 in July 2024.
Average prices also differed regionally-the most expensive vehicles were offered in Mazowieckie (PLN 56,712), and the cheapest in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (PLN 37,805). In each voivodship, however, drops were recorded in both transactions and medium prices.

At the same time, the average course of sold vehicles increased – from 166 405 km to 169 546 km. The average age of cars remained at the level of 11 years, but the waiting time for finding a buyer was significantly extended – from 25 days in 2024 to 42 days in 2025.
Poles most often chosen cars with gasoline engines – 124,513 pieces were sold, which exceeded the number of cars with diesel engines (106 810). Models for other fuels enjoyed much less popularity.

What used cars usually buy Poles?
In the list of the most -chosen models on the secondary market, it dominated Opel Astrawhich was responsible for 2.43 percent all transactions. They came in the following places Volkswagen Golf (1.97 percent) and BMW Series 3 (1.96 percent). The popularity of these models confirms that Poles still prefer compact and medium -sized cars that offer a favorable price -price ratio.
July 2025 brought clear signals of changes on the Polish used car market. The decrease in the number of transactions, price reductions and the extended waiting time for sales indicate the growing caution of consumers.
