On Friday, a spokesman for the Chinese ministry of Lin Jian objected to the declaration of France, Germany and Great Britain (E3) regarding the readiness to launch the mechanism of the UN Security Council “Snapback”, which restores Iran's sanctions.

“China remains involved in a peaceful solution to the Iranian nuclear program using political and diplomatic means,” said the spokesman in a written answer to media questions. Lin expressed the conviction that the sanctions “They will not help the pages in building trust and leveling differences and are not conducive to diplomatic efforts in favor of rapid resumption of conversations“.
On Wednesday, the AFP agency reported that the bosses of E3 diplomacy announced that they are “ready to run a mechanism” enabling restoration of all international sanctions if Iran would not want to achieve a diplomatic solution before the end of August or will not take advantage of the possibility of extending conversations.
According to the Iranian foreign minister, Abbas Aragczi, Iran cooperates with China and Russia to counteract the possible restoration of funds that were abolished under the 2015 contract. This agreement, expiring in October, allows each party to restore sanctions.
The E3 group in a letter to the UN Secretary and the Security Council expressed his involvement in using “all available diplomatic tools to ensure that Iran would not develop nuclear weapons.” Iran announced that he would take appropriate steps in the event of sanctions. Aragczi claims that E3 has no “legal or moral basis” to decide to restore sanctions and warned that Tehran would exclude European powers from future nuclear conversations, questioning the legality of such activities from European countries.
