On December 9, 1971, speaking at a meeting of the second session of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, deputy of electoral district No. 178 from the Obluchensky district of the Khabarovsk Territory L.B. Shapiro spoke about the fundamental changes that have taken place in the development of the economy and culture of the Jewish Autonomous Region. He noted that since 1934, industrial output in it has increased tenfold. Industries such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mining, and construction materials have been newly created and become economically advanced. Gross output on collective and state farms during the eighth five-year plan, compared with the previous one, increased significantly. The five-year plan targets for selling grain, meat, eggs, and honey to the state have been completed. Next, he raised the question of accelerating the pace of housing construction in the region, developing more effective measures that would help attract and retain workers in the Far East, made a proposal to build an expanded clay gravel plant and a woodworking plant in the region, and speed up the development of livestock housing projects for the Far East zone.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) wrote on December 9, 1936 about the opening of a flying club in Birobidzhan. It is said that the club organizes on-the-job training for workers in flight, glider and parachute training:
“We are faced with the task of organizing the work so that mass aviation sports become noticeable in our young region. First of all, this relates to organizing membership in the club for youth and adult workers. In our region, as a border region, mass mastery of the aviation business is of particular importance.”
December 9, 1941
By decision of the executive committee of the regional Council of Workers' Deputies of the Jewish Autonomous Region dated December 9, 1941 No. 649, the House of Pioneers and Schoolchildren was opened. For this purpose, house No. 21 on the street was transferred to the city department of public education. Soviet.
In 1956, in the House of Pioneers there were nine artistic circles – a drama club, an art studio, a radio engineering club, sports sections, cutting and sewing classes, a photo club, and a film club.
In November 1959, the film “Birobidzhan Pioneer” (6+) received first prize at the amateur film show. In 1959, the film studio became a participant in VDNKh and received two bronze medals.
In the 60s, the Children's School had 68 clubs, which were attended by more than one thousand schoolchildren.
In 1981, the children received a wonderful gift from the builders – a new Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren with swimming pools, concert halls, sports halls, and rooms for group work.
In 1984, veteran of the Great Patriotic War Olga Fedorovna Matushevskaya created the Museum of Pioneer Glory, which collected material telling about the history of the House of Pioneers and Schoolchildren, the Center for Children's Creativity.
The CDT maintains close ties with the city's schools: on the basis of the CDT there are branches of aesthetic development for school students. Classes and various entertaining and educational events are regularly held for them.
