He said that reservations are about 1% higher than in the same period of 2023, and the rates are kept at a high level, writes news.ro.

The company estimates that it will almost fully recover the 7% decrease in the rates in the quarter-September last year, influenced by the prudence of consumers and a conflict with some online travel agencies.

However, the achievement of the summer objective depends on the short -term reservations until the end of the second quarter, which ends on September 30.

O'Leary welcomed the Boeing decision to deliver some 737 Max aircraft earlier, after delays that braked Ryanair's growth plans. The American manufacturer will deliver seven aircraft in August and seven in September, part of the total order of 29 aircraft.

During a visit to Tirana, CEO Ryanair announced the doubling of the capacity to the Albanian market to four million passengers annually, by parking three aircraft at the Capital Airport, April 2026.

At the same time, the company will increase the capacity in Sweden by 25% in the winter season, introducing eight new routes after eliminating the aviation tax, a movement that will intensify the pressure on the SAS and Norwegian Air companies.
