The coming week will abound in macro data from Poland and reports of companies from the WSE. But the events of the USA will count globally: statements of central bankers in Jakcson Hole and the aftermath of the Friday meeting of Trump-Putin.

Monday, August 18

We will already know the explicit part of the arrangements (or their lack) from the Trump-Putin summit. This is information that can potentially mix up a lot in the markets. But they might as well go unnoticed. Especially if both leaders went without an official agreement.

The macroeconomic calendar on this day is almost empty. In it we will find the June trade balance of the euro area (at 11:00) and July base inflation indicators in Poland (14:00). Economists assume that the so -called Basic inflation rose from 3.4% to 3.5%, still located in the upper band of permissible deviations from the 2.5% NBP target.

Tuesday, August 19

Macro on this day only for connoisseurs. Includes data such as the Australian consumer trust index, Euroland payment balance or Canadian CPI inflation and statistics from the US housing sector (number of new buildings and permits issued). All in all, data to be omitted.

The report for the first half of the year will publish KGHM.

On Wall Street, the quarterly results will be published by Home Depot. Let me just remind you that in the USA, over 90% of companies from the S&P index already showed the reports for the second quarter.

Wednesday, August 20

At night (at 1:50 Polish time) Japan's July commercial balance will appear. Then at 3:00 news will come from the People's Bank of China, which, however, should not reduce the already record low interest rates. At 4:00 we will know the decision of the Central Bank of New Zealand, where over the past year the interest rate has fallen from 5.50% to 3.25%. So quite a lot.

At 8:00 we will wake us in July CPI statistics for Great Britain. The United Kingdom is the only such large and developed economy of Europe has a problem with excessive inflation, which in June reached 3.6%. No one will surprise anyone if it increases again in July.

We will know the July HICP inflation in Slovakia, which reached as much as 4.6%in June. In this way, the Slovaks competed with Hungary and Romanians for the title of inflationary leader of Central Europe. At 11:00, everything will be summarized by Eurostat by publishing a regular report on the July CPI inflation in European Union countries.

Traditionally, a report on a weekly change in fuel reserves (16:00) will come from the United States. At 20:00 we will know the report from the July meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee.

The results on the WSE will be given, among others, by the WSE itself, Cyfrowy Polsat, PXX Rokita, PEP and ZUE.

Thursday, August 21

This is a day with Piedmajami. At least with their preliminary estimates for August for the main economies of the world. The timetable promises to be as follows: Australia (1:00), Japan (2:30), France (9:15), Germany (9:30), EURO zone (10:00), Great Britain (10:30) and USA (15:45).

In addition, a sack with July macro data for Poland will be solved. At the same time and 10:00 we will learn the results of industrial production and producers (PPI), construction and assembly production and statistics of average salary and employment in the enterprise sector. In addition, we will receive August readings of consumer economic indicators, including Measurement of consumer inflation expectations.

The August business index in the Philadelphia region (14:30) and a weekly report on the number of applications for unemployed benefit will come from behind the Atlantic. At 16:00 we will learn the results of the July sales of houses on the secondary market and an index of the conference Board overtaking indicators.

The quarterly report before the session will present Wal-Mart.

The results on the WSE will be given by: Orlen, Dino Polska, Energa, Mobruk and VRG.

Friday, August 22

The annual symposium of central bankers in the American resort Jackson Hole will begin. In previous years, on this occasion there were plenty of important declarations regarding changes in monetary policy. For Jay Powell, this will be a good opportunity to confirm the market expectations for the September reduction of interest rates in the federal reserve.

But it's only in the afternoon. Earlier (at 1:30) we will learn Japanese CPI inflation for July and British retail sales (8:00). In Poland, at 10:00, the Central Statistical Office will publish the results of the August economic economic research.

The results on the WSE will be given by, among others: Budimex, Benefit, Sanok.
