Honorary resident of Divnogorsk Alexander Goryainov has died

In Divnogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, an honorary resident of the city, Alexander Goryainov, died at the age of 78.
As the mayor's office said, his name will forever remain in the history of gymnasium No. 10, which he led for more than 18 years, and the entire city.
Alexander Goryainov was born on July 15, 1947 in the Altai village of Korobeynikovo. Having chosen the profession of a teacher, he first taught biology and geography, then headed a school in the Novokuznetsk region.
“But it was Divnogorsk that became his hometown, and gymnasium No. 10 became his life’s work,” the administration said. — Since 1983, Alexander Ilyich headed the city department of public education, took an active part in the construction of a new school, and after the opening he became its director. Under his leadership, the school grew into a gymnasium, in 2006 it won the competition of the best educational institutions in the region, two years later – in Russia, and in 2014 it became one of the two hundred best schools in the country.”
In 2016, Alexander Goryainov was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the City of Divnogorsk.”
“Today we remember Alexander Ilyich with sadness and gratitude. He left behind a place where the spirit of mentoring and kindness still lives. The memory of him is not in dates, but in everyone who studied and worked at gymnasium No. 10… Alexander Ilyich created an atmosphere of respect, kindness and faith in the talent of every child in the institution. For many students and colleagues, he was an example of quiet strength, wisdom and human dignity,” the obituary said.
Farewell to Alexander Ilyich will take place on Thursday, October 9, from 10:00 to 10:30 in the farewell hall of Divnogorsk.
