The Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer announced on Wednesday that the countries that are part of the “Coalitions of Volunteers” are ready to implement military plans that they are currently working on to support Ukraine in the event of suspension of weapons in the war with Russia.

“Military plans are ready in a form that can be used if the weapon is suspended,” wrote Starmer in a statement issued by the British government's press office after the talks of the leaders of the “Coalition Coalition” countries and video conferences with US President Donald Trump.
The British prime minister emphasized that in an interview with Trump, “real progress in the scope of security guarantee for Ukraine was to ensure peace's durability.”
Starmer referred to this statement to the meeting of Trump with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which will take place on Friday in Alaska. In a communiqué, he also stated that “our support for Ukraine is unwavering – international borders must not be changed by force, and Ukraine must have solid and reliable security guarantees to defend its territorial integrity under each contract.”
The “Coalition of the Volunteers” was established on March 2 on the initiative of Starmer in order to develop a comprehensive support plan for Ukraine, ensure its permanent supply of weapons and take actions aimed at the end of the Russian invasion. It includes 33 states.

International boundaries cannot be changed by strength – emphasized on Wednesday in the statement of Great Britain Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz after the video conference of the “Coalition of Volunteers”, at which the issue of Ukraine was discussed.
Starmer, Macron and Merz were co -hosting the Wednesday meeting of the “Coalitions of Volunteers”, in which the President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zielnski and the Vice President of the United States JD Vance also participated. The European position was discussed before the Friday meeting of the US President Donald Trump with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
In a joint statement, the leaders pointed out that “the way to peace in Ukraine cannot be decided without Ukraine”, and that negotiations can be conducted “only in the context of the suspension of weapons or permanent and significant cessation of warfare.”
If Putin does not agree to a truce on Friday, then you should strengthen sanctions and other economic means to put pressure on the Russian war economy – they warned.
Leaders also emphasized that Ukraine must receive “solid and reliable” security guarantees to effectively defend its sovereignty. “The coalition of the willing is ready to play an active role here,” they declared.
Leaders have reserved that no restrictions should be imposed on the possibilities of cooperation between Ukraine and the third countries, and Russia cannot veto Ukraine's possible accession to the EU and NATO.
