Farmacia Hotăranu returns to the life of Bucharest. The monument with elegant showcases, commissioned in Vienna, will become a museum

The historical monument building, at 76 Vasile Lascăr str., has increasing chances of being restored and consolidated and is preparing to become the Pharmacy Museum.

The building, designed by architect Statie Ciortan in neo-Romanian style in 1925, hides an unparalleled treasure inside. It represents one of the few pharmacies where original elements from the beginning of the 20th century have been preserved.

The pharmacy house “Gheorghe Hotăranu” was bought by the College of Pharmacists from Bucharest with a noble goal: saving and valorizing a unique professional heritage and transforming this space into a future Museum of Pharmacy in Bucharest.

Read, on B365.ro, about the discoveries from archives and vintage newspapers of the extraordinary past of Hotăranu Pharmacy and about the project that will return this house to the community.
