In the cities of Borodino and Nazarovo of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, new wall works of art – murals appeared. They were drawn by famous metropolitan artists as part of the Public Arts of the Festival “Shift”, which is held by the Melnichenko Foundation in the industrial cities of Russia.

In Nazarov, a mural entitled “Waterfire of the depths” appeared on the facade of the gymnasium No. 9. The author of the picture is the famous metropolitan artist Vasily Karmazin, whose works can be found in the new Tretyakov Gallery, the Triumph Gallery, at Archmoskva. Mural, created with the active support of the city-forming enterprises of the Nazarovsky section (SUEK-Krasnoyarsk) and the Nazarovsky GRES (SGK), as well as the administration of the city of Nazarovo, became a new city attraction and a symbol of respect for the industrial history of the region.

According to the author’s idea, two abysses are found in the picture: the bowels of the earth and the starry sky. The central element of the image is a figure holding coal luminous like a star. The author of Mural created a collective image of an engineer, miner and astronaut, personifying the desire for discoveries and new knowledge.

The Russian cosmonaut tester Kirill Peskov inspired the artist’s space theme, who returned the other day with the ISS, who in 2007 graduated from the Nazar school No. 14, located in the immediate vicinity of the painting. The choice of gymnasium No. 9 is also not accidental for the placement of work: for several years now, the project of an energy profile class created with the support of the Melnichenko and SGK Foundation has been successfully implemented. As the organizers emphasized, Mural is designed to inspire students to achieve achievements in science and technology, recalling the importance of their future profession for the development of the region.

“The“ conqueror of the depths ”was an important step in the transformation of urban space. Now the facade of the gymnasium is not just a wall, but a point of attraction for residents and guests of the city, a place where art meets with industry and education, ”said Viktor Gubanov, manager of the Nazarovsky section.

In Borodin on the facade of the house on Lenin Street, an ant “Craft as a prayer” appeared. The author of the work is a Moscow artist-hosting animated cinema, graphic artist, illustrator, animator Stanislav Metelsky. In the center of the composition – the hands of the miner, as if carved from coal. They are crossed, as if in prayer, and light flows from the palms – a symbol of warmth, labor and life that coal gives people. Through the bright image, Stanislav tried to show that for the miner, labor is not just work, but a daily ritual filled with almost sacred meaning.

“You brought a new unique atmosphere to the city landscape,” Olesya Ivanin said at the opening of the mural of Borodino for socio-political work, addressing the artist. – Thanks to such projects, our city becomes more attractive, cozy. The new mural appeared on the facade of the same house, where a year ago, a mural of “generation”, which became a symbol of the continuity of generations at the enterprises of Suek-Krasnoyarsk in Borodin, was discovered a year ago during the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Borodino section.

This year, as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Berezovsky section, two more murals will be opened in the city of Sharypovo and the village of Ugolshchikov-Dubinino. In total, in the framework of the Festival “Change”, new works of wall painting will appear in 15 industrial cities and villages of Russia.
