“FT” reminds that in 2018 Trump's meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Helsinki was so worried about the then surroundings of the US President that one of his main advisers of Fiona Hill “considering the fake of the fainting to stop the whole event.”

Trump then questioned the findings of the American intelligence and “for a good coin he assured the Russian leader” that he did not interfere in the American election process.

“When Trump met with Putin in Alaska on Friday, Russian experts will probably not be in the room” – notes “FT”. This will be, among others Because in his second term of Trump “he puts loyalty to the experience of his advisers.”

As an example, “FT” gives the main negotiator Trump Steve Witkoff, whom he calls “a novice in the field of foreign policy.” When this New York developer is responsible for negotiations with Russia, “experienced officials were moved to the side track, slandered and forced to resign from work.”

According to “FT”, “before a high rate meeting with Putin, normally American officials would work intensively to make sure that the president is well informed and prepared for the raising of every topic that the Russian leader can raise.”

The National Security Council played the main role in this process in the past. The role of this body during Trump's second term “was drastically limited”, and “dozens of experts for foreign policy and national security in May were removed from positions” – notes “FT”.

In addition, as part of a wider reduction in the number of federal employees, over 1,300 officials were released last month from the State Department. Among them were analysts dealing with Russia and Ukraine.

“FT” gives estimates, according to which from January, i.e. the month of swearing in Trump, a quarter of diplomats “left their workplace.” Among those who remained, people with low morale dominate.

The British daily quotes Eric Rubina, the US ambassador in Bulgaria during the first term of Trump, who notes that “the most important positions in administration regarding Russia and Ukraine remain unhappy,” as an example, giving as an example the lack of approval of US ambassadors in Moscow and Kiev.

According to Rubin, “Trump does not have a single person who creates a person who knew Russia or Ukraine.” (PAP)
