Nothing about us without us, but without Hungary. Zelanski thank you to the EU countries for a joint position

The President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelanski thanked the leaders of 26 EU countries for his position that roads to the room could not be appointed without the participation of his state. The issues of the security of Ukraine and Europe cannot be discussed without all of us – he said on Tuesday.

“Thank you to European leaders for the definite support of our independence, territorial integrity and just such an active approach to diplomacy, which can help end this war with a worthy room. Indeed, we all support the firmness of the president (US Donald) Trump and together we have to work out such positions that will not allow Russia to deceive the world again” – emphasized Zełenski.

The president noted that every decision on the security of his country and all of Europe is to be discussed jointly and strengthen the common defense capabilities.

“For refusal to end the murder, Russia must bear responsibility. As long as he wants war and occupation, we must jointly continue our pressure – pressure of strength, sanctions and diplomacy. Thank you to everyone who helps! Peace thanks to strength” – wrote the Telegram in the messenger.

Zelanski repeated that there is no signs for now that the Russian army was preparing to end the war. “On the contrary, it conducts activities that testify to preparations for new offensive operations. In such conditions it is important that the unity of the world is not threatened,” he said.

Earlier, the leaders of 26 EU countries said that roads to peace could not be marked without Ukraine. They noted that the diplomatic solution must also protect the interests of Europe's security. They declared that the EU is ready for safety guarantees, and their part must be Ukraine's ability to defend effectively.

The statement was agreed at night from Monday to Tuesday by all heads of EU states and government, except for Hungary. It is to emphasize Europe's coherent approach to the issue of war in Ukraine, which will be the subject of the meeting of the President of the United States Donald Trump with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Friday in Alaska.

Failure to sign a statement on war in Ukraine is nothing new – The spokeswoman of the European Commission Anitta Hipper assessed on Tuesday. However, she pointed out that, apart from the European Union declarations, 18 sanction packages were accepted unanimously.

Hipper also confirmed that the EC is preparing another restriction package for Russia.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban explained in social media that he did not join the statement because he believes that the EU should organize a peak with Putin.

– This is nothing new – in this way she commented on the lack of signature of the Hungarian leader spokeswoman for the EC. She emphasized that the EU message regarding war in Ukraine remained consistent. – Until now, we clearly put the matter that we want peace and that Ukraine wants peace, nobody wants peace more than her. And the proof of this is also 18 sanction packages that were adopted unanimously – she said.

She added that unity is needed to make the EU strong, and if it runs out, Russia will benefit from it. – Of course, there have always been discussions. Nobody said it would be easy, but we have always managed so far. It was our strength and it is still it – she noted.
