The Minister of Development, Cseke Attila, believes that the measure of publishing the lists of debtors would be an effective one and hopes to be implemented, considering that some taxpayers may pay the arrears for fear of shame.

Asked, on Monday night, at Antena 3, about a possible introduction of the measure of publishing some lists with taxpayers who do not pay their taxes and taxes, the Minister of Development Cseke Attila said that he believes that such a decision would be effective, reports News.ro.

“I am convinced that such a measure would be effective and I hope it will be implemented. I had five very good debates with the town halls and presidents of the county councils. This proposal came from an association, from the Association of Communes in Romania, who pointed out that today the nature and value of the debit is considered to be due to a person, Cseke.

According to him, the proposal will come to be no longer a fiscal secret the problem related to the debts of a taxpayer.

“We identified the legal text and we propose that this is no longer a tax secret. As we saw, it was not always. If this will be done, it will also have efficiency, ”said the Minister of Development.

Asked if the shame will cause a person to pay his debts, Minister Cseke Attila replied: “I do not say that everyone will pay from this list of shame. And I do not want to make other types of statements, but I think some will pay.”
