Minister Żurek about a plan to cooperate with President Nawrocki. “If the Prime Minister gives consent”

In an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza, Waldemar Żurek announced far -reaching changes and a declaration of the fight for the rule of law. “The crisis mobilizes me, not paralyzing,” he said, not hiding concerns about the state of Polish democracy.
The Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General shared his opinions on cooperation with other state institutions and the need for reforms in the area of the judiciary. When asked in the Monday issue of “Gazeta Wyborcza” for cooperation with Karol Nawrocki – he declared that he would respect the constitutional role of the president. – And if the prime minister gives me permission and the president will invite me in matters of the rule of law, of course I will not refuse and go. These will be talks for arguments He noted.
– some of the statements of the new president's colleagues They are very disturbing, and I will skip with silence, what is heard from his political campe.g. from Przemysław Czarnek's mouth – he added.
The minister also drew attention to the so -called The theory of fighting democracy, which, as he said, is gaining more and more publicity. In his opinion, strictly sticking to “lowest acts” that consolidate current system errors, is in contradiction to the public interest. With an illustrative comparison to a poorly fused broken hand, he explained that sometimes it is necessary to repeal the status quo to restore proper functioning.
In the conversation, he also referred to the judicial system in other countries, criticizing political influence on the justice system. – In the Belarusian justice dimension, although there are court rooms and gowns, political opponents are closed in cages. We all suffer by several people who have insisted on the political justice system – he assessed.
In an interview, the head of the Ministry of Justice also referred to the functioning of the current National Council of the Judiciary. He called her an unconstitutional institution and announced the takeover of a more active role. She plans to participate in her meetings, including in the next, planned for August.
He also devoted a lot of attention to the status of the so -called Neosędzi, especially those operating in the Supreme Court. In the Minister's opinion, these people should not be considered full -fledged judges. – We should call them disgrace. They generate compensation going into millions, which raises a serious risk to Poland on the international arena – he emphasized, adding that in the matter of the reform of the Supreme Court he would remain “tenacious”.
The minister also expressed an opinion on the need to reorganize the prosecutor's office. In the opinion of the head of the ministry, especially in the case of deputies of the Prosecutor General from previous governments, you will need precise legal argumentation to be able to make decisions against persons performing these functions. – If I decide, I will have the right justification. I will definitely inform about my activities – he assured at the end of the conversation.
