The Kansk police officer dissuaded the 57-year-old man to transfer money to scammers. This was reported in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

A resident of Kansk contacted the police on duty with a message that someone called her wife several times on the phone, after which he, without listening to her, took the savings of 1 million rubles from the house and left in an unknown direction. The received appeal from the woman was accepted by the junior police sergeant Julia Akhatova. She guessed that the man was drawn into a fraudulent scheme and attackers were making attempts to get a large amount from him.

The police officer showed perseverance and began to recover to the victim. At the time when a resident of Kansk was followed and already purchased a SIM card in order to further transfer money to criminals, she managed to contact him.

“The girl convinced the man that he was influenced by fraudsters, there was no threat to his life, health, finance. The man listened to the words of the operational duty officer and retained the money, ”the law enforcement agencies said.

The police found that the scammers tried to intimidate the victim under the pretext of accusing him of representing the interests of a citizen of an unfriendly country, to whom he allegedly issued access to the disposal of bank accounts in the Russian Federation.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact under the article “Fraud”. An investigation is underway.
