Ukraine wants to maintain the initiative at the front. It needs $20 billion for this.

— A time window has opened on the battlefield that will last from six to nine months. However, it requires urgent funding – says a source to Reuters Agency, which informs about the plans of the authorities in Kiev.

As reported by Reuters, Ukraine will ask its allies for financial assistance in the amount of $20 billion next week, which is intended to enable our neighbor to maintain the initiative on the front and increase military pressure on Russiaalso taking advantage of the fact that in recent months the progress of Putin's forces has almost stopped, the agency adds.

The Ukrainian request will be presented at a meeting of the Ramstein Group – an international coalition of over 50 countries that support our neighbor through this initiative and coordinate aid sent to Kiev. Reuters reports that some countries will be asked for aid ranging from $2 to even $6 billion. — whether in the form of a loan or unconditional aid.

Ukraine wants to maintain its good streak

“At the beginning of June, analysts of the Ukrainian website DeepState reported in an analysis that Russian troops suffered a complete defeat on the front in May. “The smallest increase in the occupied territory has been recorded since October 2023, when the enemy launched a strategic offensive operation on most sections of the front. According to our map, in May the enemy occupied only 14 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory,” we read in the study quoted by PAP.

It is also easy to guess what these potential billions will be spent on. Ukraine will probably spend it on even greater purchases of long-range drones and missiles, which have been paralyzing Russian logistics in recent months and directly affecting Russian activity on the front. It is also highly probable that domestic initiatives related to the production of this type of equipment will be co-financed, including new ballistic missiles that are scheduled to enter service this summer.
