Cristian Tudor Popescu, about one of the politicians at the peak of power: “The best name to wear: Știuca”

After establishing several nicknames that have lasted over time, such as “Varan” for Dan Voiculescu or “Guzgan Rozaliu” for Viorel Hrebenciuc, the newspaper Cristian Tudor Popescu announced today that he will now name Sorin Grindeanu as “Știucă”.
It all left, says the newspaper, from the game made by the PSD interim president in recent days, against the background of Ion Iliescu's state funerals, when the PSD threatened with the exit from the government because the USR did not participate in the funerals. The Social Democrats will meet in a meeting on Monday to discuss the continuation of the government.
“The PSD breaks in figures that it comes out of the government. I have no thought to analyze the belly dance of the great party around Ion Iliescu's basket. Instead, I remember that some young journalists called me the denominator of the Romanian press, because I was a baptism for a lot of politicians: Glasses, the scraped little, the Pavian with a cloak, the Romanian, God … ”, writes Cristian Tudor Popescu on Facebook.
He started the analysis from the episode in which Sorin Grindeanu went fishing with Liviu Dragnea, when Grindeanu was leading the government formed under Dragnea's PSD.
“Studying the contortions of the mouth carefully, the waves of his head and all his creatures, as well as as he gives from the wings, I told Dragnea's pike. Or, Grindeanu Știuca. Finally, I thought that the best name to be used to be simple: CTP concludes,” concludes CTP.
The scandal in the coalition
After the USR ministers announced that they will not attend the funerals of Ion Iliescu, the PSD decided that it is boycotting the coalition sessions due to the USR attitude towards the former president.
The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, posted on Facebook the official position of the party on Wednesday. He says that, together with his colleagues in the party leadership, they will not attend the coalition meetings “until the USRs will show political maturity and will review their attitude.”
After the funeral, Sorin Grindeanu convened for Monday a BPN meeting to take an official position after recent USR attacks on former President Ion Iliescu. At the meeting that will take place on Monday at 11:00, the Social Democrats would establish a clear position of the party in relation to “the continuation of the government collaboration”.
What is behind Grindeanu's decision to convene the PSD leadership on Monday to evaluate the coalition after the USR attacks on Ion Iliescu: “The anger is great, but what to happen?”
