“The Islamic Republic of Iran is certainly against the disarmament of Hezbollah, because Iran has always supported the Lebanon people and the resistance movement, and it will continue to do it,” said Welajati.
The resistance movement or the axis of resistance Iran calls organizations such as Lebanese Hezbollah, Palestinian Hamas, or Yemenia Huti, which are customers of Tehran fighting with Israel.

The disarmament plan includes The gradual end of the armed presence of all non-state entities, including Hezbollah, throughout the territory of Lebanon and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the south of the country and the final delineation of the still disputed Libanese-Israeli border.

In the autumn of 2024, Israel conducted an offensive against Hezbollah, who from October 2023 fired with rockets with Israeli positions on the border, thus manifesting support for Hamas.
In November, a weapon suspension was concluded with the US mediation. The proposal adopted by the American government aims to “extend and stabilize”.
