Macron: The future of Ukraine cannot be decided without Ukrainians

Emmanuel Macron wrote on Saturday on the X platform: “Ukraine's future cannot be decided without Ukrainians.” The President of French referred to the meeting of US President Donald Trump with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin regarding the war in Ukraine.


“Europeans will also have to become part of the solution, because this applies to their safety,” Macron added and reminded that earlier on Saturday he talked about the issue of Russia's war against Ukraine with the prime minister of Great Britain Keir Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Macron also talked on Saturday with Wołodylyski. On Saturday, the President of Ukraine conducted talks with many other European leaders, including with Starmer, the premiere of Denmark Metten Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, President of Finland Alexander Stubb, head of the Spanish government Pedro Sanchez, and the day before – also with Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Trump announced on Friday that one of the topics of his conversations with Putin would be the conclusion of a potential peace agreement in Ukraine, with which the need to “exchange territories”, as Trump said. The President of Zelnski will not participate in the conversation in Alaska. (PAP)
