The answer to the dilemmas related to the choice of heating method and their impact on the environment is briquettes made from sunflower husks.
As KB.pl explains, this heating fuel is produced from sunflower husks, which are waste from the food industry. The process includes drying, grinding and pressing the material under high pressure and temperature.

In the production process of this briquette, no chemical additives or glues are used, which makes the briquette a natural and ecological fuel. The finished product is characterized by low humidity (approx. 9-10%) and low ash content (2-5%), which translates into high calorific value and clean combustion.
Sunflower husk briquettes can be an ecological alternative that also saves money. According to KB.pl, the prices of sunflower husk briquettes are competitive compared to wood pellets or coal.
A cheaper way to heat your house in winter. There's only one catch
The cost per ton ranges from PLN 510 to PLN 1,000, and by burning one ton of briquettes, you can obtain heat equivalent to burning 1.6 tons of wood. This makes it an economical solution for households.

Although sunflower husk briquettes have many advantages, such as high efficiency and low pollutant emissions, they also have their disadvantages.
One of them is the seasonal availability of raw materials, which may affect price variability. In the case of retort and gasification furnaces, it is recommended to use briquettes as an addition to wood pellets, although in many devices it can be used alone.
