Ukraine hit the Russian Radar systems and landing boats in Crimea. Kiev announces that it has caused “serious losses”

Drone operated by the secret service of the Ukrainian army hit several important military targets in Russia on Thursday, the Institution quoted by Kyiv Independent announced.

Among the struck targets was the Project 02510 BK-16, a high-speed landing craft for coastal operations and troop transport. The drone attack caused fires on the ship, according to the preliminary information.

The attack destroyed or damaged several radar installations essential for the defensive system of the peninsula controlled by Russia after it was illegally annexed in 2014.

These include Nebo-Svu, a long-range radar capable of detecting aircraft and ballistic missiles. Also, Podlet-K1 was destroyed, radar that identifies at low altitude, and 96L6e, a mobile air surveillance radar.

“After the serious losses of the air defense installations on the Peninsula, the Russian occupants of Crimea began to hide their expensive military installations in Coupol structures,” said the secret service of the Ukrainian army.

One of these domes, located on the peak of AI-Petri, was the target of the attack. Ukrainian forces say that it housed equipment belonging to the 3 Technical Radio of Air Defense forces of Russia.

The details of the operation remain unknown, says Kyiv independently. This morning, the Russian press reported on a series of explosions on all the stretch of the peninsula. The Ministry of Defense of Russia has said that it had shot down 18 drones above Crimea between 6:20 and 10:35.

Crimea is under Russian occupation since its illegal annexation of 2014. Ukraine intensified the attacks on the military infrastructure on the peninsula after Russia triggered the large -scale invasion in 2022.
