Alexandru Mățan, 25, clapped his palm with Panetolikos, the 10th place last season in the first league of Greece.
Mățan, an offensive midfielder with selections at the U21 representatives and the Olympic one of Romania, was free of contract after the separation of the Al-Hisn dowel, where he was legitimized for 4 months.
In the next season he will play in Panetolikos, a band from the first league of Greece, based in the city of Agrinio. The transfer announced by a local publication, Agriniopress.
Sold by the Lighthouse in 2021 in Columbus Crew for 1.5 million euros, Mățan had good times in the MLS, but not Constanța needed to become an important player in the US championship.
Mățan was borrowed at Rapid in 2022, and at the end of 2024 he was released by Columbus Crew. Two months later he understood with the Arabs from Dibba Al-Hisn, for which he only played 4 times.
To Panetolikos, Mățan will be a colleague again with Sebastian Mladen, The central defender with whom he divided the locker room and between 2017-2021, at Farul.
