The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, published photos with the food received by patients at the Satu Mare County Emergency Hospital on Monday evening. “You are what you serve for your patients,” commented the minister. The post comes just two weeks after the official was criticized because he presented, during an official visit to the hospital in Târgu Mureș, a lunch with salmon sheets, broccoli and Baby Carrotovi.

“Good appetite for those in the management of the Satu Mare County Emergency Hospital! It is said that you are what you eat, but I think this time we can paraphrase the model” you are what you serve for your patients “.

In one of the photos there is a visibly altered preparation, with mold.

The resort minister encouraged patients to use the new referral form on the ministry's website.

“The photos are sent directly to the Ministry of Health through the form you can access here. We respect the confidentiality, we are interested only in reality. We thank you!”, Concluded Rogobete.

On July 11, Alexandru Rogobete took lunch at the County Emergency Hospital in Târgu Mureș, being served with green salad soup and salmon sheets with lemon, broccoli and Baby Carrotovi. Rogobete's post has sparked numerous reactions in the online environment, especially from patients who said the menu in hospitals does not look like this.

“We return to the propaganda shows in the 1960s,” a doctor wrote. An NGO for the rights of patients to urged the minister to visit psychiatry hospitals, unannounced during the meal.

Andi Cârlan, an oncological patient, commented: “Either it takes us to fools, or has a very distorted perspective of reality.”

Invited to Podcastul Hotspot, Rogobete said he started by publishing positive examples, but that he is going to make public cases.

“I know hospitals who play patients. Yes, there are hospitals in Romania where catering companies, for example, do not respect their patients. For this reason I made that form on the Ministry of Health's website. And I look at those pictures daily. I cannot go to all hospitals, but I have a control body that can do this. Maybe, ”said the Minister of Health at that time.
