The Western Hemisphere Office in the State Department stated that the Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes, who placed Bolsonaro in home detention, uses Brazilian institutions to “silence the opposition and threaten democracy.” In the communiqué, the judge was accused of violating human rights and indicated that he was covered by American sanctions. “Even greater limitation of Jaira Bolsonaro's possibilities for public defense is not a public service. Let Bolsonaro speak!” – we read in the office's statement. The US condemned the placement of Bolsonaro in home detention and announced that people supporting these activities would be responsible.
What will happen on Tuesday?
