Fatal impact on DN 1, on the road connecting Cluj to Oradea: a 3-year-old girl and a man lost their lives in a serious road accident
A serious road accident took place on Thursday evening on DN 1 (E60), in the area of Negreni, Cluj County, resulting in the death of a 3-year-old girl and a 34-year-old man. Two cars and a truck were involved in the collision and traffic was blocked in both directions.

According to the Cluj County Police Inspectorate, a 20-year-old man from Negreni commune, driving from Oradea towards Cluj-Napoca, collided with a car driven by a 34-year-old man, also from Negreni.
“Following the collision, the vehicle driven by the 34-year-old man was projected in the opposite direction of travel, colliding with a group of vehicles driven by a 55-year-old man from Cluj-Napoca. Unfortunately, as a result of the event, the driver and a 3-year-old minor in the car died”IPJ Cluj sent, according to News.ro.
Emergency intervention
SAJ and SMURD crews arrived at the scene, including a mobile intensive care team from Detachment 2 Cluj-Napoca. “A minor of approximately 3 years was immediately taken by SAJ crew arrived at the scenewhile the firemen acted to extricate only one person, more precisely a man. Unfortunately, both victims are in cardio-respiratory arrest, so resuscitation maneuvers were applied“, ISU Cluj reported. Later, the authorities confirmed the death of the girl and the man.
Both drivers involved in the accident were tested with the breathalyzer, the result was negative. The police are continuing the investigation to establish exactly the circumstances of the tragedy.
Traffic on DN 1 was completely blocked in both directions until the intervention and investigations at the site were completed.
