Tesla granted to the general manager Elon Musk 96 million shares, worth about $ 29 billion, a decision meant to keep the billionaire entrepreneur in leadership, given that a US court has decided that its original salary agreement is incorrect from shareholders, Reuters reports.

Last year, a court in Delaware, the US, reaffirmed the decision to reject the $ 56 billion compensation package for Elon Musk. The court has established that Elon Musk is not entitled to the massive compensation package granted by the Tesla Board. The Delaware process was started by a Tesla shareholder, who complained about the lack of independence of the company's board of directors, which had requested in 2018 a compensation plan of $ 56 billion.

This year, Tesla announced that the Board of Directors has formed a special committee that will take into account some issues related to Musk's compensation, without advertising other details.

Tesla is at a turning point, given that Musk, the largest shareholder, with a 13%stake, has changed the emphasis on the promise of an accessible platform for electric vehicles (EV) to humanoid robotaxes and robots.

In preoping the New York Stock Exchange, Tesla shares increased by over 2%.
