Poland fifth ice cream producer in the EU. We noted the greatest increase in production

Poland is the fifth ice cream producer in the EU, but with the greatest increase in production in 2024 – Eurostat said.

In 2024, the EU produced 3.3 billion liters of ice cream, which is an increase of 2 percent. compared to 2023 (3.2 billion liters).

Germany remained the largest ice cream producer in the EU, producing 607 million liters in 2024. France (501 million liters) and Italy (492 million liters) were in the following places. Spain (378 million liters) and Poland (298 million liters) were also on the list of main producers.

Compared to 2023, out of these 5 EU countries, only Poland recorded a 29 % increase in production.

France recorded a 12 % decrease, Italy by 7 %, Spain by 6 %, and Germany recorded a small decrease by 1 percent.

Of the five largest players, production increases were recorded in Belgium (+35 percent), Bulgaria (+19 %) and the Czech Republic (+15 %).
