When he was at the store within the penitentiary, Cezar Avămuță, known as the “Dac's flag”, decided to climb a fence, and further in a tree, from which he refuses to go down. Negotiators, doctors and psychologists are on the spot to convince them to get down, writes news.ro.

Cezar Avramuță was accompanied by a single penitentiary policeman, as he was declared by a judge in the category proposed by the penitentiary – a sporty degree of risk, according to the penitentiary.

“We inform you that on Friday, August 1, 2025, around 5:05 pm, the person deprived of DAC freedom, 58 years old, preventively arrested, during the presentation at the commercial point inside the place of detention, he climbed the fence of the surrounding wire of the respective area and climbed into a tree,”

At the time of writing this news, Avămuță did not descend from the tree, the incident being managed “in accordance with the applicable institutional procedures”. There are specialized intervention teams, negotiators, medical staff and psychologists.

“We specify that the person deprived of freedom has resorted to this gesture for reasons that do not belong to the activity or conduct of the prison administration,” say the representatives of the penitentiary.

The “Dac flag” is under arrest from May 23

Cezar Avămuță was taken by the police and taken to the Capital Police's arrest on May 23, as the court ordered in his case to replace the arrest at home with the preventive arrest. The decision was taken after the man left his home, cut off his electronic surveillance bracelet and went to the University Square, where he climbed on a scaffold.

The capital's police then showed that the police were delimited and provided the area, next to the building, and traffic restrictions were applied. Also, there were also gendarmes from the General Gendarmes Directorate of Bucharest.

“We specify the fact that the investigations are continued against the man in the aspect of committing the offenses of escape and destruction, to be notified the competent parquet unit,” the police added.
