Serious accident on Camil Ressu Boulevard: Two pedestrians, injured after being hit by car

A road accident on Friday afternoon on Camil Ressu Boulevard in the Capital resulted in the injury of two pedestrians and the involvement of two cars.

The accident took place around 2:35 pm, and the authorities were alerted by the unique emergency number 112, according to a statement sent by the Road Brigade. The first information shows that the driver of a car driving on the bd. Camil Ressu, from Bd. Liviu Rebreanu to Mihai Bravu Road, surprised and injured two pedestrians crossing the street.
“The driver of a vehicle moving on Camil Ressu Boulevard, from Liviu Rebreanu Blvd. Mihai Bravu surprised and injured two pedestrians employed in crossing the public road”the representatives of the Road Brigade transmitted.
After the impact, his car was hit from behind by another vehicle that was traveling on the same tape.
Pedestrians, transported to the hospital
“As a result of the traffic accident resulted the injury of the pedestrians, who were transported to the hospital for care”, the authorities specify. For now, no details about their condition have been provided.
Both drivers involved in the accident were tested with the ethyl tester, the result being zero in both cases, which excludes alcohol consumption before the incident is produced.
Inquiry in progress and restricted traffic
Police officers have started on -the -spot investigations to determine exactly the circumstances in which the accident occurred. In parallel, road traffic on Camil Ressu Boulevard is restricted on the direction of travel from BD. Liviu Rebreanu to Şos. Mihai Bravu.
The Road Brigade recommends drivers to avoid the area and circulate with caution.
