A bookstore manager in Krasnoyarsk for a year stole more than a million rubles from the cash register

Police investigators of Krasnoyarsk proved the guilt of a bookstore manager, which appropriated more than 1 million rubles.
In August 2024, the director of one of the bookstores turned to the duty unit. He said that the manager of the trading hall born in 2001 committed theft of almost one million 100 thousand rubles. This was revealed during the inventory.
The police investigator opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Assignment or embezzlement.”
During the investigation, law enforcement officers found that the official duties of the accused included the delivery of revenues from the sale of goods to the collectors. Having access to money, she took funds from the cash desk from the cash desk almost daily from March 2023 to July 2024, and when collected, she sent the amount less than the actual one. The number of stolen money depended on the revenue and amounted to one to 20 thousand rubles. The accused compensated almost 94 thousand rubles. A civil lawsuit was filed for the rest of the amount.
Having examined the materials of the criminal case, the court of the Sverdlovsk district of Krasnoyarsk found the woman guilty and sentenced her to 3 years in prison.
