The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, told Antena 3 that the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) began using a “very advanced” software for fraud detection, news.ro.
According to the minister, ANAF officials received thousands of alerts after the software operation.
“Software, we are talking about software … it is true that digitalization (in the case of ANAF-no) is not so advanced. However, there is a soft performance indicators, which was completed, given in production and which was in tests for several months and was not used. A software that concerns, integrates many databases. They have to use it. Functions to discover carousel fraud, ”said Alexandru Nazare.
He argues that ANAF digitalization will be completed by the end of 2026 and the money provided by the PNR for this reform will not be lost.
“Clear until June next year we will complete all the milestones, we will take all the money from the PNRR, and the information hub will be ready at the end of next year. But that does not mean that until then we stop,” said the Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare.
