Over 20,000 consumption points were not attached to Wednesday morning following extreme weather phenomena, and at 5:00 pm there were 1,598 households without electricity, Bogdan Ivan announced on Wednesday.

“I want to tell you that, by the moment, following the severe weather phenomena there were over 20,000 unaltered consumption points, with a peak this morning, at 8:00. The teams on the field were throughout this period,” said the government official, after the Energy Command meeting.

“We have data updated at 5:00 pm. At the moment, out of the approximately 20,000 consumption places not attached this morning at 8:00, more unaltered 1,598 consumer places,” said the minister, quoted by Agerpres.

According to forecasts, their feeding will be done until 8:00 pm, Ivan added.

“We are talking about counties in the south of Moldova, Muntenia, Dobrogea, which were affected by these phenomena, including the municipality of Bucharest. Both rain and wind, led to damage to networks, medium and low voltage networks. High voltage networks have not been affected during this period, only the media, only the media. Due to the fall of trees, wind and water showers, ”stressed the Minister of Energy.

Asked by journalists if there are areas where electricity interruptions are expected, Bogdan Ivan said it cannot be said “where the trees will fall”, but at the level of each operator there are at least 20-30 teams ready to intervene, and there are currently 120 teams in the field.
