Poles keep people together-the invisible infrastructure that matters in a modern residential ensemble

In an increasingly suffocated city of traffic, dust, concrete and deadlines, people are no longer looking for a roof above their heads. Modern living now means more than an address. People are looking for a place to enjoy life, a place to breathe, move, connect with neighbors, where to feel part of a community. Some real estate developers in Romania have really understood this and thought the residential projects with differentiation elements, which will bring more comfort and relaxation to residents. Among the examples of good practice are Cosmopolis, the residential ensemble in the northeast of the capital, which chose an approach that may seem, at first sight, unexpected. Cosmopolis put the pool in the center of the idea of community life, and the whole project was created using pools as a social medium and relaxation for people who choose to become residents.
Cosmopolis: The neighborhood with the most pools in Romania

Cosmopolis is today the largest private residential neighborhood in Romania and, perhaps surprising for some, is the neighborhood with the most functional swimming pools in the country. We are not talking about a single pool at the Wellness Club, accessible only for a fee, we talk about over 60 outdoor pools spread inside the community.
Seen from above, the pools sprinkled among houses and blocks are highlighted as a distinctive decorative element, but also as a fundamental component of the relaxation and socializing infrastructure in Cosmoplis. To these exterior spaces, created especially for swimming and relaxation, there is also a covered, semi -Olympic swimming pool, open all year, part of the World Class center within Cosmopolis Plaza.
The pool must be viewed as a social media space, not as a luxury symbol
In the collective mind, the pool is often associated with the luxury or vacation. In reality, within an urban community, a pool becomes a meeting point, a relaxation space, a place of connection and communication. In an ensemble in which over 17,000 people already live, ie the population of a small city, the pools become the place where the neighbors know each other, the children play safely, and the feeling of belonging takes shape naturally.

This “invisible” infrastructure, too little mentioned as a real benefit in real estate ads, still plays a decisive role in forming an active and healthy community. Cosmopolis is the best example of an ecosystem in which the pool is not only a place of relaxation, but a space in which people meet, talk to each other, know each other better, enjoy the fun of their children and relax on beautiful days. For some inhabitants, the pool has become the space for the Mobile Bureau, the place where they bring their laptop to work and enjoy the beautiful sun and good weather.
Integrated urbanism begins with the real needs of people
In Romania, the idea of integrated urbanism seems to be at the beginning of the road. There are many projects that develop rapidly and emphasize the delivery of housing, without attaching them and facilities in proximity. Cosmopolis chose the harder road to go, but which brings real benefits to the inhabitants. The apartments, houses and villas here were only the starting point, and at each important stage of development elements were added that made the difference in the market – road infrastructure – for a better connection; Education – through kindergartens and educational campuses (eg – Mark Twain International School Cosmopolis) campus; commercial areas (example – Cosmopolis Plaza); Dedicated spaces for sports and relaxation (sports fields and the largest Health & Fitness World Class club in the north of the capital). All are part of a large plane that responds to all the wishes of a growing community. The pools were not thought of as marketing elements, but as an integral part of the lifestyle that the neighborhood has proposed since 2007 to those who choose to step on the threshold.

Relaxation at a few steps of home
While in many areas of Bucharest and big cities parents have to cross long distances to take their children to the pool, or to find a place of relaxation on the weekend, in Cosmopolis these facilities are included, are available to all residents and are part of the daily routine of the neighborhood. At each group of houses and blocks there is access to a swimming pool, or even more pools in proximity, arranged, supervised and integrated in the green space around the constructions.
For water lovers, these pools mean less time wasted on the way to a swimming pool, less stress because you should not travel long distances, more time to spend with family. The fact that the pools are so close to home cause many residents to choose to spend part of their hot summer days right inside the neighborhood – “at home, at the pool”. And it does not seem to be a coincidence that one of the most recognizable slogans of the project was born here: “Holiday, everyday, at home!” – An expression that perfectly captures the atmosphere that Cosmopolis offers daily to its residents. The neighborhood inspires a continuous feeling of holiday, supported not only by the many pools in the neighborhood, but also by other recreational facilities: the beach arranged on the lake, the pool dedicated to the beach, the areas of soft drinks or the relaxing musical environment.
Real estate projects that form united communities

Cosmopolis operates after a well -developed urban masterplan, with stage development, provided up to 2035 and a relaxation infrastructure (swimming pools, parks, green spaces, sports grounds), which is an integrated part of this plan.
Beyond figures and surfaces, beyond yields and delivery times, living in modern cities and neighborhoods needs binders for people in the community, and the pool thus becomes a symbol of a life in a united community and a facility that brings people together.
