Video Călin Georgescu, message before tour 2, without pronouncing George Simion's name: “Silence is full of words”

Former candidate for presidential elections Călin Georgescu sent on Monday evening, in a recording broadcast by Realitatea Plus, a message before the second round of the presidential elections, without pronouncing the name of George Simion. “Those who do not agree with the system are called extremists and the company of society,” Georgescu said in the beginning of the intervention, claiming that “silence is full of words that mocke into soul and thoughts.” It is Georgescu's first public intervention from the beginning of the election campaign for tour 2.

Georgescu states that he has chosen to shut up so far “to listen”, but that he has heard only “the noise of those who roam towards us” and “the insane cries of the same individuals.”

“I was silent because I wanted to listen and listen to you. I only heard the noise of those who roar us. The insane cries of the same individuals.

He also talked about a “false meritocracy” and the lack of social balance, claiming that “extremists” are not the ones who promote hatred, but on the contrary.

“Extremeists do not speak of peace, love, about God. The relevant question is: who and what are you, those who call us so? Every time we pronounce these words, we witness your exorcism,” said rhetorically Calin Georgescu.

Georgescu does not pronounce Simion's name and does not talk about his support, but appeals to solidarity.

“These days, they are the powerful ones that remain straight like the oak (…). So is our nation. The nation and the oak have the same sacred roots, which keep us connected to the land we serve. Let us prove in the days that we are strong, united and that we are our own masters.

Calin Georgescu was last seen with George Simion on the date of the first election election, when he presented alongside the gold leader at a polling station in Voluntari. The two said then that they vote for “Tour 2 back”.

On May 6, the Gold candidate for the presidential elections, George Simion, told Digi24 that he will nominate Georgescu for the position of prime minister, talking about early elections. “I will probably insist on going with Călin Georgescu to some early elections, but I expect to find 50% plus one of the Parliament (…) honestly, I would like to avoid …”, explained George Simion on Tuesday night, at Digi24.

“It is the commitment to the Romanians, it is normal to do it, if it will want it,” George Simion said about Călin Georgescu's appointment as a prime minister.
