What about the “coup state”? Prime Minister: Closed topic

Sometimes people, even the most serious, say not fully thought out, but Marshal Szymon Hołownia tried to explain this misunderstanding; I consider the subject closed – this is how Hołownia's statement about the “coup d'état” was commented on Wednesday on TVN24 Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Last Friday, Hołownia told Polsat News that he was repeatedly suggested that he delay the swearing in to Karol Nawrocki as president of the Republic of Poland and thus made a “coup.” When asked who made these proposals, he talked about people who “did not like the result of the presidential election.” A spokesman for the Warsaw District Prosecutor's Office Piotr Antoni Skiba reported on Monday that in the coming days or weeks it is planned to interrogate the Speaker of the Sejm as a witness regarding his words; The application was sent to the prosecutor's office by Bartosz Lewandowski.
When asked about the words of Hołownia, Tusk replied that everyone who speaks controversial theses must take into account certain consequences.

– Sometimes people, even the most serious, say not fully thought out, but Mr. Marshal Hołownia tried to publicly explain this misunderstanding, expensive to him, but I consider the subject closed – said the head of government.
However, he did not want to reveal the details of the conversations of the leaders of the coalition party about the organization of the National Assembly, but he announced that there were doubts about counting votes reported by electoral commissions and citizens.
– The government or prime minister does not have a direct impact on what the process of recognizing or not recognizing elections looks like – emphasized Tusk.
-Mr. Marshal Hołownia, but also Mr. Marshal Czarzasty and Mr. Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz definitely and clearly gave the opinion that regardless of what would happen next to checking (votes) in committees, counting votes, there should be a swearing in, so the topic was closed for me-he added and assured that he was not going to question it.
The head of government reminded that experts appointed by the Ministry of Justice indicated committees in which abuse was possible, and then the prosecutor's office led to recalculating votes and informed that irregularities did not affect the result of the election.
– I think the matter is closed, I understand my emotions, I experienced these emotions myself – added Tusk.
The head of government was also asked about the meetings of the Speaker of the Sejm and Polish Leader 2050 Szymon Hołownia with PiS politicians in the apartment of Adam Bielan. He described these meetings as a “serious mistake”.
– I regret it because I feel responsible for the whole of this project. This project is called Poland free of abuse and this evil that has been going on for eight years in Poland – said the prime minister.
– When feeling responsible for the whole of this project, I must think that the partners in this project behave sensibly and responsibly – he added.
When asked if he was warned by Hołownia about his meetings with PiS politicians on June 10 and July 3, he denied.
– I learned about it from the media just before meeting the Marshal – said the head of government.
When asked about the position of deputy prime minister for Hołownia, Tusk replied that he was trying to respect his coalition partners and their expectations. He added that safety and stability will depend on how coalition partners will behave.
– I would expect everyone, including myself, absolute loyalty. Not to me, but to Poland – said the prime minister.
– I want this coalition to continue to function, to be solidary. If Poland 2050 and Marshal Hołownia decide after the replacement of the marshal (…) to enter the government or Mr. Marshal Szymon Hołownia or submit a candidacy for deputy prime minister, then they will assess at the end whether such someone is suitable for deputy prime minister or not, but in his time – he added.
At the beginning of July, the media reported that Marshal Hołownia visited one of the MEPs of Law and Justice in a private apartment – Adam Bielan. Bielan's apartment – as the media determined – came, among others PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński. According to media reports, Michał Kamiński was also one of the participants of the meeting.
A few days later, at a press conference, Hołownia stated that neither he nor his party has any conversations about a coalition other than the one they are currently part. He also denied that at the meeting at Bielan the question was to remain the Speaker of the Sejm until the end of the term. The Polish leader 2050 also admitted that the meeting place with PiS politicians was a mistake. His statements show that a few weeks earlier there were similar conversations with PiS politicians.
