The opening of the traffic on the 13 kilometers left unfinished in section 4 will take place on Thursday, sources from the Ministry of Transport said for HotNews.ro. Previously, the Pro Infrastructure Association also transmitted that the inauguration will take place on Thursday.

The section 4 of the Dex12 built by the RAM was partially inaugurated last year, and the last portion of about 13 kilometers, including the junction with A1, will be in traffic now.

Once the traffic on this portion will be opened on the drivers will be able to travel uninterruptedly from Craiova and to Constanța only on the express road or highway.

By the inauguration of Thursday, the Romanian network of highways and express roads reaches 1,325 kilometers.

The longest continuous portion of high -speed road: Craiova – Constanța

The opening of traffic over the last 13 kilometers of DEX12 means that the entire 121-kilometer high-speed road will be given in traffic, and the drivers will be able to travel uninterruptedly from Craiova and to Constanța only on the express road or highway, after the south of the capital recently opened the last part of the South A0 that allows the East-East Direction.

Specifically, from Craiova at the intersection with A1 drivers will have 121 km of express road, on A1 until the intersection with the South A0 Belt Highway are 85 kilometers, on South A0 there are another 48 kilometers, and on the A2 drivers will travel another 200 km. In Constanța, drivers can enter the A4 (Constanta Belt), north of the intersection with A2 with 14 km, and to the south to Agigea and in the port another 10 km.

Basically, on the route Craiova – Pitești – Bucharest – Constanța – Agigea/Port the drivers have available 468 kilometers of high -speed roads – The longest distance continues on high -speed roads in the country.

Specifically, on the portion of A1 between Cățeasca (DJ703B) and Bradu (DN65B), where is the road node between A1 and DEX12, the annual daily average (MZA) is over 44,000 vehicles, the highest registered on all highway sectors in the country.

For comparison, on the Sun Highway, on the first output sector in Bucharest, the MZA is 27,764 vehicles. On A3, near the capital, on the first sector after the intersection with the Capital Belt, the MZA is 24,846 vehicles.
