Calin Georgescu, a former independent candidate for last year's presidential elections, launched “a general mobilization call to the Romanian people”, in support of the sinisters in Moldova, announcing that on Friday, August 1, it will go to the floods in Suceava county.

“In the heart of Moldova, the country suffers. In Suceava County, in the areas of Broșteni, Frasin and Borca, the floods have ravaged with dead and destroyed houses. I make a call, general mobilization to the Romanian people: come on August 1, at 10 o'clock in Broșteni, Suceava county, to help the Facebook.

„Meeting place: Ion Creangă str. No. 8, in front of the wooden church in Broșteni, a place loaded with the spirit and history, where the great Ion Creangă studied under the oblique of Professor Nicolai Nanu. Come with what you can: a shovel for decolmată, food to divide, water – Next now we can prove to ourselves that we know who we are and that we are part of a great nation, planted on the love of God, ”added the former candidate.

Georgescu was on Wednesday at IPJ Ilfov headquarters, where he was summoned for hearings. At the exit, he made statements.

“Before making economic reform, a moral reform in the country is needed. And, because it is a moral reform, very few things happened at the disaster in Suceava County, where there are already 3 dead, 40 houses destroyed, over 2,500 affected. I call on the whole Romanian nation as on 1 August- In the morning, in Broșteni.

“The cause: when mountains of forests were cleared, I cleared the sovereignty of the country and endangered the lives of some people. The whole political class only saw their own interest, not the Romanian one,” said the former candidate.

Three people died, and several hundred were evacuated following the devastating floods that affected the northeast of Romania, at the end of last week, caused by torrential rains.
