The rector of SNSPA, somatic to resign after the new Snoop disclosures in the case

The rector of the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA), Remus Pricopie, must resign after the disclosures of the journalists from Snoop.ro about Marius Pieleanu, professor at the University, in the context of sexual abuses claimed by several students, says Ana Birchall, former minister of justice and European business.
“Pricopie urgently needs a common sense transplant and a spine implant. We need to help him find the minimum courage to resign,” Birchall wrote on Monday, in a message published on her Facebook page.
“I was telling you last year, after the first extraordinary investigation by Ioana Moldoveanu and the Snoop.ro team, that the great Mamachization of both the sexual predators from SNSPA and the rector Remus Pricopie!
“The stake is immense! If you pull the Pricopie thread practically the shingle was torn down. They all knew. The teachers from SNSPA knew that both Bulai and Pieleanu are two sexual predators. (…) The rector SNSPA, Remus Pricopie needs a good-sense transplant and a column. Give the resignation.
“Busy to hold the rector armchair with both hands, normally he did not have a finger to move him in favor of the students who were complaining. When he has both busy hands, how to resign, the poor man?”
According to Ana Birchall, the rector SNSPA should “resign now, when he can still save his political career and is not labeled as a lifetime of Pieleanu and Bulai and protector of sexual predators.”
“The bubo was broken. I welcome the courage of the extraordinary women who spoke. I am very happy for the generation of women who come after us and who will no longer have to live in fear,” noted the former PSD minister in the governments of Dăncilă and Grindeanu, who ran for the supreme function in the state and was an advisor to the president.
Ana Birchall claimed, in 2024, that she received several inappropriate messages from Pieleanu, she wrote on Social Media, the day after the SNOOOP.ro publication of a similar case, that of sociologist Alfred Bulai, also a teacher at SNSPA. Contacted by Snoop, Pieleanu refused to comment at that time.
Snoop disclosures about Marius Pieleanu
The SNOOOop's investigation site published the result of a few months documentation on Tuesday, which discussed with 40 people, teachers, current and former students from SNSPA and the University of Bucharest, the past collaborators of the sociologist and professor Marius Pieleanu.
Of the women who accuse Marius Pieleanu of abuse or inappropriate behavior and who discussed with the journalist Snoop Ioana Moldovan, four assumed with first name and name, two wanted to give only the first name, and three opted for pseudonym. They tell scenes of sexual abuse, categorically denied by Marius Pieleanu.
The new disclosures come after the SNSPA ethics committee has closed the cases of other testimonies, and Professor Marius Pieleanu has resumed his courses in SNSPA this spring.
How did SNSPA lead to react in the scandal
At the level of the management of the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA), the decision was made that the University should not have, for the moment, any public reaction about the new disclosures about Marius Pieleanu, sources from the institution told HotNews.
According to the quoted sources, SNSPA decided on Tuesday morning not to have any reaction regarding the investigation of the journalists from Snoop.

Hotnews tried throughout the day on Tuesday to get an official reaction from SNSPA representatives. The rector of the university, Remus Pricopie, Propectora Ligia Deca (former Minister of Education, in office when Snoop wrote about the accusations of abuse of another teacher from SNSPA, Alfred Bulai) and the chairman of the Ethics Commission, Ion Stavre, did not respond to the newsroom calls.
In contrast, the Minister of Education, Daniel David, said on Monday, in a response to Hotnews, that the ministry supports the principle of “zero tolerance to any form of harassment in the university environment”, following the investigation published by SNOOP and which documents serious accusations of sexual abuses to the sociologist Marius Pieleanu, professor at SNSPA.
