The state must solve the obstacles that the Romanians from the diaspora who want to invest in the country and take measures to stimulate the “true economy” on Thursday, the president Nicușor Dan, said at the Repatriot Gala on Thursday.

“I think at some point your private initiative will have the support of the Romanian state, because it is normal to happen.

“On the economic side, they want a state to be predictable. That is, someone who has worked six-ten years and who is already doing their holidays in Romania, and not elsewhere, and wants to come here must have a support in an institution of the Romanian state to give him the guarantee that he will not waste time, and he will have some time, and he will have a bureaucrat.

He pointed out that the Romanian state must systematically see what the obstacles are facing investors and solve those aspects.

“As for the business environment, in general, I think there are two things to say. One – to try to have a balance between how the state of the money produces – very, very important! And two – to have that competitive environment to stimulate, not inhibit the private initiative in the economy,” Nicuşor said.

On May 14, at the electoral debate organized by Romania TV, in which the leader of Gold, George Simion, did not come, the independent candidate Nicușor Dan insisted on the idea that it is necessary for the state to behave differently with the citizens and gave the example of how a Romanian investor is treated in Spain, which the Treasury there is not for years.

“I went to the Romanians in Spain. A Romanian investor there told me that in 15 years no fiscal control from the ANAF,” said Nicușor Dan

“Romania, reducing its expenses, attracting European funds, reducing the great tax evasion, can avoid increasing taxes. Only then can we discuss their weight,” he added, at that time.
