Four countries in the Polish atom game. One of them is a surprise

USA, France, South Korea and Canada – these are the countries that were invited by Poland to participate in talks on the next nuclear investment – informs Wednesday's “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”.

“The letters that were forwarded by diplomatic path were presented by the basic assumptions of the investment, developed during the update of the Polish nuclear energy program. They expressed the desire to start a dialogue, which will ultimately lead to the formulation of detailed conditions of conduct, and in the further perspective – to select the technological partner of the project” – reads in the Wednesday Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

The newspaper emphasizes that the participation of the US and France, which has long been applying for the construction of a nuclear gym, and the participation of South Korea has already been revealed last week by “Insight Policy”, the novelty is the invitation of Canada.

“The invitation to consult two countries outside the group of main favorites can be considered an attempt to stimulate more spontaneous competition on a not very competitive market,” we read in “DGP”. (PAP)
