The government will start this year a process of listing companies in the energy and transport sector, said Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan in Briefing at the end of the Government meeting. He showed that there is no possibility of positive budgetary rectifications, given the budget deficit for the first six months of the year.

“In terms of companies, they are from the energy and transport area and most likely in the first week of August we will make public what companies are to be listed,” said Bolojan, asked which companies would be listed on the stock exchange.

“The listing from my point of view is a good thing, because it increases the capacity of RO to be a scholarship in an emerging country, which develops, but at the same time increases the financing capacity of these companies, transparency in terms of managing its activity,” he continued.

According to Bolojan, the listing will start this year.

He added that, in terms of ensuring payments for those who work for the state through government funds, there are two clear aspects: I know all the builders in Romania that at the moment the budget on Anghel Saligny is exhausted.

“In the first 6 months we received less than we proposed and we spent much more, it means we have no possibility to make positive rectifications,” said the prime minister.

The execution of the general budget consolidated in the first six months of 2025, published Monday by Finance, ended with a deficit of 69.80 billion lei, respectively 3.68% of GDP compared to the deficit of 63.67 billion lei, respectively 3.62% of GDP related to the six months of 2024.
