Thousands of people met in Birmingham, England on Wednesday to attend Ozzy Osbourne's funeral cortege, a procession that will be followed by a private framework ceremony, AFP, quoted by Agerpres.
Many fans, dressed in black outfits, T-shirts and blouses with the face of “Dark Prince”, met before the procession started, scheduled at 1:00 pm (12:00 GMT), to pay a last tribute to Father Heavy Metal in his hometown.
The cortege went through Broad Street, a boulevard where different personalities of the city received a star – including Ozzy Osbourne – on the model of the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The procession was then directed to “Black Sabbath Bridge”, where, above a bank, the children of the four members of Black Sabbath are mounted and, after the announcement on Osbourne's death, was filled with flowers and messages left by many admirers.
The event was broadcast live on the Internet so that the tens of millions of fans of the musician could follow the procession that was accompanied by a group of local musicians.
