New liquid regulations in hand luggage

The departure from the 100 ml limit for liquids in hand luggage has been talked for several weeks. Great Britain was the first to decide on this, where the new rules are already in force, among others at airports in Birmingham and Edinburgh, says Fly4free. The United States followed the British, which made additional pressure on the European Union.
Representatives of the European Commission, cited by Fly4free, confirmed that also at airports in member states, the restriction will be gradually worn. However, as they emphasize, the change will not occur immediately at all airports.

New technologies will allow you to transport more fluids
To endure the current limit, it is necessary to implement modern CT scanners for hand luggage control. After their installation and obtaining appropriate certificates, passengers will be able to transport up to two liters of fluid in hand luggage. At many European airports, such devices already work – they can be found, among others in Berlin, Rome, Amsterdam or Milan.
In Poland, modern hand luggage control lines with CT scanners are already operating at airports in Lublin and in Poznań. Work on their assembly also began in Krakow's Balice.
Changes soon
The European Commission's decision still requires the European Civil Aviation Conference approval. However, as representatives of EU institutions say, on which Fly4free cites, obtaining final consent is only a formality. If everything goes according to plan, the new regulations will come into force within a few weeks.
