Superliga: Referee, taken by ambulance from the ground after suffering an injury

The Romanian Football Federation announced that, during the match between Metaloglobus Bucharest and Ploieşti Petrol, played on Friday, assistant referee George Bogdan Duţă suffered an accident that required emergency medical intervention, according to News.ro.
The incident took place in the 41st minute of the match, when the assistant referee prevented by the advertising materials located in the edge area of the land and fell. Although initially continued the game for a few seconds, not relying on the severity of the situation, he began to accuse pain and numbness in the right arm. Immediately requested the intervention of the central referee and the medical staff on the spot.
After a first evaluation, the referee was transported by ambulance to the Military Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a dislocation at the right elbow.
The doctors managed to restore the joint, carried out imaging investigations and decided to immobilize the affected area in a gypsum for a period of at least one week. Depending on the evolution of its state, surgery will be decided if there is a need for surgery.
George Bogdan Duţă was discharged after midnight and is currently at home, in Bacău, where the recovery period will follow.
