What to do if you suddenly forgot the sunscreen at home? Dermatologists recommend using folk remedies that will help protect the skin from burns and the harmful effects of the sun.
1. Rosehip oil and sea buckthorn
These vegetable oils are rich in antioxidants and carotenoids, which can create a natural barrier against UV rays. Regular application of oils will help to protect the skin from photoaging and reduce the risk of burns.
2. Aloe Vera fresh
Although aloe is primarily known as a means to calm the skin after burns, the fresh aloe juice also forms a light protective film on the skin, which partially delays the penetration of ultraviolet radiation.
3. Jozhoba oil
The jojoba contains natural waxes and fatty acids that create a thin film that helps protect the skin from drying in the sun and provides minimal filtration of UV rays.
Folk remedies do not provide full protection that modern sunscreen with SPFs give. If you have to spend a long time in the sun, it is better to purchase a special cream with a high level of protection. Folk methods can become a temporary measure if you have forgotten the cream of the house, but it is better to combine them with other ways of protection – clothes, hat and avoiding the peak sun.
