Tens of thousands of people went out on the streets of Rome, on the route where the Papamobil passed with Pope Francis's body, to say goodbye to it. Often, in the filming transmitted by the Vatican News, people's applause was heard.

After the funerals that took place in Saint Peter Square, the coffin with Pope Francis's body was transported with a Papamobil to the Church of Saint Mary Maggiore, about 7 kilometers away from Saint Peter's basilica.
