The Air Force One aircraft with the US president landed at the Glasgow-Prestwick airport. A crowd gathered around the port to be able to look at the landing of the presidential plane. There was also a small number of Trump's supporters with American flags.

“It's great to be in Scotland,” Trump told reporters just after leaving the plane. He informed that he would probably meet with Prime Minister Wielka Keir Starmer on Saturday. “We'll do something great,” he added. He spared praise at the British head of government. “It's a little more liberal than me, but I like him,” he confessed.

The office of the Prime Minister at Downing Street issued a statement that Starmer's meeting with Trump is scheduled for Monday, and not as the president said on Saturday.

When asked about the decision of French President Emmanuel Macron about the recognition of the Palestinian state, he replied: – What he does is fine. It's his business, not mine.

Journalists also asked about Epstein's files, to which Trump replied: – You are doing a great scandal from something that is not a great matter. He emphasized that he himself focuses on concluding contracts, not on conspiracy theories.

The president repeated his earlier statement that in his opinion there is 50 percent. chances of concluding a commercial agreement with the EU.

– I am talking to Europe two things … stop windmills. And when it comes to immigration, you have to get over because you will no longer have Europe – he said at the end of the meeting with the press on the airport.

From the airport, the American leader went on the Ayrshire coast to the Trump Turnberry golf resort, which is his property.

Although the trip to Scotland is to be private, on Sunday Trump will meet with the chairwoman of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to discuss transatlantic trade relations and ways of maintaining them.

According to earlier reports, a meeting with the British prime minister will take place on Monday at Turnberry. The topic of conversations is to be a trade agreement recently concluded by the US and the United Kingdom. Trump has already suggested that it could be approved during his stay in Scotland.

On this day, Trump and Stramer are to leave Turnberry to go to the second golf center together, which belongs to him, in Menie in Aberdeenshire. Here, he will open a new 18-hole golf course, called the maiden name of his mother Mary Anne Macleod, born in Scotland, on the island of Lewis on external hebrids.

A few days ago, the government in Edinburgh confirmed that the first Scottish minister John Swinney would also meet with the US president, but the date was not given when it would happen. Swinney said on Friday, before the arrival of Trump, that for Scotland his visit is a “groundbreaking event.” He announced that during a meeting with the president he would raise the topic of the dramatic situation of the inhabitants of the Gaza Street.

The Stop Trump coalition announced that anti -resident demonstrations will take place on the weekend, including in Ayr, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The organizers of the demonstration call Trump a “global tyrant”, many people also express their dissatisfaction with his support for the Israeli government in the war with Palestinian Hamas.

5,000 will watch over Trump's safety during his entire visit. British policemen, as well as American Secret Service agents.

This is the first of the two Trump's travels planned this year to Great Britain. The president will visit the islands again on September 17-19, when he arrives with an official state visit. Then, together with the first Lady Melania, Trump will stop at the Windsor castle as a guest of King Charles III and Queen Kamila.
