Former members of the supervisory board of the Estonian company – Veronika Tugo, Guido Buehler and Giorgi Dzhanashvili, who resigned from their positions a few days ago, announced on Thursday on the X platform that they had submitted a crime report to the Estonian prosecutor's office and notified the Estonian financial intelligence service. In a statement, they emphasized that they felt it was necessary to provide the public with additional information on the steps they took after the situation regarding the company was disclosed.

“Since the beginning of the incident, we have continuously tried to obtain clear explanations from the CEO of the company in connection with ongoing problems related to payouts, the company's financial liquidity and the status and availability of assets that were presented as belonging to the company. Unfortunately, despite direct requests for explanations, we have not been able to obtain sufficiently clear, verifiable and consistent information,” wrote the statement on X.
The authors of the entry noted that from the very beginning of this situation they had been dealing with contradictory and unclear information. In their opinion, important questions regarding the ownership, control and availability of the company's assets remained unanswered.
“In these circumstances, given the seriousness of the situation, as well as the potential impact on customers, creditors, employees and other interested parties, we have concluded that the matter must be independently reviewed by the appropriate authorities,” they wrote. — “Therefore, we decided to report the crime to the Estonian prosecutor's office and notify the Estonian financial intelligence unit so that the authorities can assess the situation within their powers.”

In the published statement, they emphasized that each of them made the decision to leave the company independently. An investigation into the possible fraud of customers of the Zondacrypto cryptocurrency exchange was previously initiated by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Katowice. According to investigators, the total amount of damage is currently no less than PLN 350 million. Prime Minister Donald Tusk said last week that – according to estimates – there may be up to 30,000 people injured in connection with Zondacrypto's activities. people.
