In Poland, at the end of May we had almost 5.4 million companies, including almost 3.8 million as natural persons. Of this, the vast majority are so -called microfirms, i.e. those employing less than 10 people. For comparison, at the same time we have just over 17 million working, i.e. Almost every fifth person working in Poland is an entrepreneur.
It is no secret that self -employment is a popular method of celebrating ZUS contributions and other regulations arising from the employment contract. Employees benefit from higher storage, and employers who do not have to provide the full number of holiday days or pay extra for taxes and ZUS not to mention. Plans to ozusal mandate contracts saved in KPO milestones only drive willing to become an “entrepreneur”, and the case affects about 2.3 million people working on “garbage trucks”.
As we checked in the CSO data, the most, because 464 thousand The microfirm operates in the industry of professional, scientific and technical activitiesi.e. IT specialists, but also cleaning people are the largest group of small entrepreneurs. In second place with 431 thousand The microfirm is retail trade, i.e. both small shop owners and employees, including those larger stores. There are as many as 283 thousand in healthcare. microfirm, i.e. Nurses and doctors. Finally, in the information and communication industry, 256 thousand And here also classified IT specialists can be classified.
With the fact that while in trade a decrease in the number of microfirms by 2.8 percent was recorded during the year, which may mean crushing small, independent market stores, in the information and communication industry the increase was as much as 6.7 percent. During the year, in healthcare – by 5.5 percent By as much as 19.6 thousand (+3.2 percent of RDR) increased within 12 months the number of construction microfirms.

A place of growing entrepreneurship
We have 11 cities on the list of municipalities where over a thousand new microfirms have arrived during the year. In five of them, the increase in the number of micro -entrepreneurs exceeded 5 percent.
Among them, we recorded an extraordinary entrepreneurship shot in the CSO data in Warsaw district of Białołękawhere 1.4 thousand arrived micro -entrepreneurs, i.e. The increase was 6.4 percent during the year.
He is in the next place Krakow-Podgórze with an increase of 5.8 percent (+2.5 thousand), hereinafter Wrocław-Krzyki with +5.6 percent RDR (+1.6 thousand), Kraków-Krowodrza with +5.4 percent RDR (+1.5 thousand) and Warsaw district of Wola with +5.2 percent (+1.4 thousand).
Among the voivodships, the highest percentage increase in the number of microfirms took place in the province Mazowiecki (+3.7 percent yaws, +24 thousand) and voivodeship Lesser Poland (+3.6 percent yaws, +13 thousand).
Among the poviats is the leader Wrocław (+6.3 percent yaws and +1.5 thousand) and a poviat based in Środa Śląska in the province Dolnośląskie (+6 percent yaws and +338 companies).
At the level of municipalities a record high The 33 % annual increase took place in the rural area of the Wielki Prince from the province.
